Kaufman Diamond and Company was founded in 1975 by Morton R. Kaufman. Formerly a partner of Benjamin Bateman and Company in Newark, New Jersey, he set out to build his own firm. He established an office in Metuchen, New Jersey as a sole proprietor with Rose Kaufman as his administrative assistant. A short time later, Richard P. Diamond, a former employee of Benjamin Bateman and Company joined Morty and the firm of Kaufman Diamond and Company was established.
Morty's many years of experience in public accounting and Rich with experience in both public and private accounting set up a partnership to tackle even the most challenging accounting and tax issues. Both Morty and Rich are retired now, but thier spirit and principles continue at the firm.
In 1983 Daniel R. Meyler joined the firm. A graduate of Rutgers University and a CPA, Dan also holds licences in Life , Health, Property and Casulty Insurance. As a member of the firm for 30 years, Dan has worked in every aspect of accounting and tax preparation for the firm and has served almost every client. He is currently the managing partner.
John Perez joined the firm in 1985. John is a Rutgers University graduate and a CPA. As a member of the firm for 28 years, John has experience in all facets of accounting and tax preparation and has also served most of the firm's clients. John is currently a partner in the firm.
Betty Stalowski joined the firm in 1988 as an administrative assistant. She came to the firm with many past years experince in public accounting. Her experience brings great value to our clients.
Deb Blumenthal joined the firm in 2005. Deb is a graduate of Baruch College and a former corporate controller. Deb is an accounting associate and serves many of the firms clients in both accounting and tax preparation.
